  • 1 cup cottage cheese (full-fat or low-fat, drained slightly if watery)
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or 2%)
  • 2 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Drain the cottage cheese for 5 minutes using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove excess liquid.
  2. Transfer the drained cottage cheese to a food processor or blender. Add 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt and blend on high speed until smooth and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to taste. Pulse briefly to combine without over-processing.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a mixing bowl and gently fold in 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh chives.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let flavors meld and the dip thicken slightly.
  6. If the dip is too thick after chilling, stir in a teaspoon of water or more Greek yogurt to loosen it.

Notes

Drain the cottage cheese well to avoid a watery dip. Whip thoroughly for a smooth texture. Adjust seasoning gradually and chill for at least 30 minutes before serving. If too thick after chilling, loosen with a teaspoon of water or Greek yogurt.
