Easy Yoda Soda Green Punch - featured image

A quick and fun green punch made with lime soda and lime sherbet, perfect for kid-friendly parties and gatherings. This fizzy, creamy drink is easy to prepare and loved by kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 liters green lime soda (such as Sprite or 7-Up)
  • 1 quart (approx. 1 liter) lime sherbet
  • Green food coloring (optional, a few drops)
  • 45 fresh lime slices
  • ½ cup maraschino cherries (optional)

Instructions

  1. Chill the lime soda and lime sherbet in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours before preparing.
  2. Place a large punch bowl on a sturdy surface and add a few lime slices and maraschino cherries to the bottom if desired.
  3. Slowly pour 2 liters (about 8.5 cups) of green lime soda into the punch bowl to avoid overflow.
  4. Add 3-4 drops of green food coloring if a more vivid green color is desired, and gently stir with a ladle until evenly mixed.
  5. Using an ice cream scoop, add about 1 quart (4 cups) of lime sherbet into the punch bowl. The sherbet will float and start to melt, creating a creamy, fizzy effect.
  6. Float a few lime slices and maraschino cherries on top for garnish.
  7. Serve immediately by ladling the punch into cups, ensuring each serving has some sherbet and fizz.
  8. If the punch loses fizz too quickly, add the soda last just before serving. Keep the punch bowl chilled or add sherbet scoops in batches to slow melting.

Notes

Chill ingredients well before mixing to keep fizz longer. Add soda last if serving later to maintain carbonation. Use an ice cream scoop for neat sherbet portions. For dairy-free version, substitute lime sherbet with coconut milk-based sorbet. Serve fresh for best texture and flavor.
