A quick and effortless cheese and crackers board perfect for last-minute hosting or casual gatherings, featuring a variety of cheeses, crackers, and tasty toppings.

Ingredients

  • Cheddar cheese, sharp or mild, sliced or cubed
  • Brie or Camembert wheel, room temperature
  • Goat cheese log, plain or herbed
  • Water crackers or plain thin crackers
  • Multigrain or seed crackers
  • Honey or fig jam
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs
  • Olives or pickles
  • Mixed nuts, lightly toasted (almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
  • Fresh grapes or apple slices

Instructions

  1. Remove Brie or Camembert from the fridge about 20 minutes before serving to soften. Slice cheddar into bite-sized cubes or thin slices. Leave goat cheese as a log or crumble it.
  2. Place cheeses spaced apart on your serving board, starting with the biggest pieces like Brie, then cheddar and goat cheese.
  3. Fan out crackers in clusters around the cheeses, mixing different types for visual interest and pairing.
  4. Spoon honey or fig jam into small bowls and place them on the board. Add fresh herbs like rosemary sprigs around the cheeses. Scatter nuts and olives in small piles or bowls.
  5. Arrange grapes or apple slices in small bunches. Toss apple slices with a little lemon juice to prevent browning.
  6. Fill any gaps with extra crackers, nuts, or herbs to create a full, inviting look.

Notes

Let cheeses sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes before serving for best flavor and texture. Use a sharp knife and wipe between slices to avoid mixing flavors. Portion about 2-3 ounces of cheese per person. For a warm option, bake Brie topped with honey and nuts at 350°F for 10-15 minutes before serving.
