Easy Vibrant Patriotic Fruit Platter

A simple, colorful fruit platter featuring strawberries, blueberries, and star-shaped melon slices, perfect for summer celebrations and patriotic events.

Ingredients

  • Fresh strawberries, hulled and halved or sliced
  • Blueberries, washed and dried
  • Honeydew melon, peeled, seeded, and sliced into star shapes
  • Cantaloupe, peeled and sliced into star shapes
  • Seedless red grapes, halved (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse strawberries, blueberries, grapes, and melon under cold water. Pat dry with a clean towel.
  2. Remove stems and slice strawberries in halves or quarters depending on size. Set aside.
  3. Peel honeydew and cantaloupe. Cut into approximately 1/4-inch thick slices. Use a star-shaped cookie cutter to punch out stars.
  4. Halve seedless red grapes if using.
  5. Arrange melon stars evenly across the platter to create the base pattern.
  6. Fill in gaps with rows or clusters of strawberries and blueberries, alternating colors to mimic the patriotic red, white, and blue theme.
  7. Sprinkle grapes in empty spots and tuck fresh mint leaves throughout for garnish.
  8. Cover the platter loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use firm, ripe fruit to avoid mushiness. Pat fruit dry to prevent sogginess. If no star-shaped cutter is available, cut melon slices into triangles or other shapes. Chill platter before serving to keep fruit crisp and colors vibrant. Frozen berries can be used if thawed and drained well.
