  • Blue cheese (4 oz / 115 g), crumbled (optional)
  • Assorted crackers (about 4 cups / 120 g) โ€“ water crackers, whole wheat, and multigrain
  • Baguette slices or crostini (1 large baguette, sliced)
  • Seedless grapes (2 cups / 300 g), washed and left on the stem
  • Fresh figs (6-8), halved (or substitute with sliced apples or pears)
  • Strawberries or raspberries (1 cup / 150 g)
  • Dried apricots or dates (1 cup / 150 g)
  • Marcona almonds or roasted walnuts (1 cup / 150 g)
  • Honey (3 tbsp / 45 ml)
  • Fig jam or quince paste (optional, ยผ cup / 60 g)
  • Fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme sprigs

Instructions

  1. Remove cheeses from the fridge about 30 minutes before serving to soften slightly.
  2. Slice Manchego into thin wedges and cheddar into bite-sized cubes.
  3. Crumble blue cheese into small chunks and leave Brie whole with a small knife for guests to slice.
  4. Slice the baguette into ยผ-inch (0.6 cm) rounds and toast in a 375ยฐF (190ยฐC) oven for 8-10 minutes until golden and crisp.
  5. Arrange crackers in small piles on the board.
  6. Rinse grapes and dry thoroughly. Halve figs and rinse berries. Slice apples or pears if using as a substitute. Pat dry.
  7. Place dried apricots, dates, and nuts in small bowls or scatter around the cheeses.
  8. Lay out cheeses evenly spaced on the board as a visual anchor.
  9. Add crackers and bread in groups around the cheeses.
