A quick and easy patriotic charcuterie board featuring classic American cheeses, fresh seasonal fruits, crackers, and nuts, perfect for summer gatherings and Independence Day celebrations.

Ingredients

  • Sharp Cheddar Cheese, sliced or cubed
  • Colby Jack Cheese, cubed
  • Monterey Jack Cheese, sliced
  • Strawberries, halved
  • Blueberries
  • Green grapes
  • Assorted crackers (multigrain and buttery varieties)
  • French baguette slices, lightly toasted
  • Roasted almonds or pecans
  • Honey or fig jam (optional)
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs (optional)
  • Mini American flags or toothpicks (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice or cube your cheeses into bite-sized pieces—about 1/2-inch cubes or 1/4-inch slices. Arrange them on the board with some space between each type. (10 minutes)
  2. Rinse strawberries, blueberries, and grapes. Halve the strawberries and cut grapes in half if large. Pat dry with a paper towel to avoid excess moisture. (5 minutes)
  3. Slice the baguette into thin rounds, about 1/4-inch thick. Toast lightly on a baking sheet at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes, or until just golden. Let cool. (10 minutes)
  4. Place small bowls or ramekins on the board for nuts and honey or fig jam. Fill them accordingly. (2 minutes)
  5. Start by placing the cheeses spaced evenly around the board. Then tuck in clusters of berries and grapes, followed by crackers and toasted bread slices. Fill gaps with nuts and garnish with rosemary sprigs. (10 minutes)
  6. Add festive touches like mini American flags or toothpicks. Give the board a final look and adjust spacing for a visually balanced spread.

Notes

Assemble the board as close to serving time as possible to keep fruits fresh and crackers crisp. Pat fruits dry to avoid sogginess. Keep cheeses at room temperature for best flavor. Use plant-based cheeses and gluten-free crackers for dietary adaptations. Toast or grill baguette slices for added flavor.
